A Poem: What Can Anyone Give You?
What can anyone give you,
That is greater than
Who you really are?
Living your true self,
Made in God’s image,
Is the ultimate gift.
What can you do
That is greater than that?
A Prayer:
Oh, gracious and loving God,
Creator of my soul,
Who made me in your image.
As I live this day in your presence,
Recreate in me your likeness,
Of goodness,
Of truth,
Of beauty,
Of love.
That I may not disappoint you
By falling short of the glory
For which you created me;

Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. …So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. — Genesis 1:26-27
