A Poem: Some Mornings
Some mornings,
I stare into the warmth of the fire;
Comfortable and content;
Often reflecting
On the majesty of God;
Overwhelmed by his wonder,
Overwhelmed by his majesty,
Overcome by his love.
Not knowing how
To react,
To respond,
To reach out
To such greatness.
Not knowing what
To say,
To do,
To respond.
So, I just sit
In his presence,
Saying nothing,
Doing nothing;
In awe,
And praise.
A Prayer: Let Us See Your Glory
Lord, we live in a dry, desolate land.
We see the spiritual drought of others.
We experience spiritual dryness of our own lives.
We thirst for your presence.
We cry out to you as the only answer in all of life.
Father, as we worship you this day,
Let us behold your strength and glory,
Let us see your majesty and greatness,
Let us experience your love and grace.
Jesus, fill us with your living water,
Refresh our souls,
Heal our wounds,
Comfort our grief,
Renew our strength.
Holy Spirit, fill us with your presence;
Empower us to worship
Fully and wholeheartedly;
Enlighten our hearts in truth,
As we give you all glory, honor, and praise!
Amen and Amen!
A Passage: For Reflection
God, you are my God; I eagerly seek you. I thirst for you; my body faints for you in a land that is dry, desolate, and without water.
So I gaze on you in the sanctuary to see your strength and your glory.
— Psalm 63:1-2 CSB

Always so uplifting. Focuses me more on our Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
