A Poem: Letting Go
Always looking forward,
Toward tomorrow;
Holding tight to
My vision,
My plan,
My scheme.
The future is mine!
To mold into the image
Of what I want,
What I envision;
So, I hold tight
Not letting go of
Desires and dreams
Of what can be.
But the future is not mine!
It belongs to the Sovereign One!
Only he knows what,
Only he knows if,
Only he knows how,
Only he knows when.
So, I hold tight,
By letting go.
A Prayer: Help Me Let Go
Lord, this day help me
Let go of the design
For doing my will;
Help me lay aside
My pet projects,
My personal plans,
My desires.
Help me step into,
Your presence,
Your desires,
Your plan;
That I might do your will,
Not mine
